Before you start with something new, do make a list. Note down and make a list of jobs that are available each day like writing, typing, designing, selling etc. consider which one you would like to take up. No matter how insignificant this would be make a note of it.

Once you are finished, go back to each of these and check if any of these can be considered for home business. Conduct a research to check if there is any company that has advertised in internet or yellow pages for the same profile. In case if there is one, then change your objective and try advertising your company.

Compare with your current employment. In case in your current job you spend most of the time typing, then you can consider opening a typing service at home. You can employ people and start your small business from there. You could start with resume service by helping people with your qualification. Also if you are good at writing you can combine both your typing skills and writing skills.

Designing is also a good idea. If you have the proficiency to do any of these or combine it, then you have your own business running and you are your own master. In this case you do not have anybody to fool you around. You can directly supervise them and keep correcting them time and again. Also as you have been doing this work in your previous job, you would know the way to do this work and also how to accomplish it in a quicker time possible. This is one of the foundations for a long time business.

Companies also hire employees to work from home. These positions are mainly for covering a region, insurance company, selling consumer products or spend time in research etc from your home office. Also there are customer service, resume filtering, telemarketing, technical writing etc. These jobs are usually part time and commission based or hourly based or even project based. Finding jobs that would provide you with full time work and in the regular workflow of the company has still not been popularized.

If your mind is full of ideas and have an inclination to work and make a business of your own then working from home is the best option. Flexibility is also one of the key successes of working from home.
