Hello Friends, in this article I am going to explain you how you can get online typing jobs in India, what is the pay scale, you will learn how you can get genuine home based typing jobs in India.

Typing jobs may be of different types like typing classified ads for a company, writing or creating ads copy for company, blog posting, secretarial jobs, or jobs in specialized fields, replying to customers emails, database updation, product updation, transcripts etc.

It can be defined as the process of entering a given text into a particular instrument say a typewriter or computer. Typing is mostly done from home as a freelance job rather than in an organization or employment is available on a part time basis.

A lot of typing work can be found on freelance websites, work from forums, networks, local college, libraries, office complexes, local newspapers, posters in supermarkets, shopping complexes, fliers or through known contacts and references. Employers may also advertise in newspapers, or through word of mouth publicity. Any person with good English and typing skills can take up typing jobs. In addition to typing skills one might also require a certain amount of language skills in terms of grammar, spellings and punctuations as also some basic knowledge of computers. The experience of a person is measured by the words typed per minute referred to as WPM.

Not just those who wish to take up typing as a career but also those who wish to work online as a part-time, can do typing and opportunities are easily available. Typing can be done as a part time job and one can take up as much workload as desired. A typist need not necessarily be restricted to just typing. He/she may have to edit or structure the document given. There a lot of opportunities for home typists as it is convenient for both the organization as they normally do not have the workload required for a full time employee as well as for individuals who can work according to their convenience.

There is also the possibility of scams and a lot of care should be taken while choosing a typing job. The most common things one should look out for in terms of scams are if they ask you for a deposit/registration fee, if the advertisement is misspelt, or if there are no names or numbers given for contact.

  • Advantages
    • Commute is reduced and there is no workplace politics to contend with
    • The investment required is very little
    • One has the option at working in one's own pace and timings as per convenience
    • Typing can be done in one's spare time in addition to the regular job as there are part time and freelance options available
    • It is convenient for elderly and disabled people who would otherwise not have an opportunity
    • Does not require any experience or skills
  • Disadvantages
    • Some of the jobs might be repetitive and tiresome
    • There is lot if competition for typing jobs as it is easy to get
    • There is a huge possibility of scams in home typing jobs posted on the net and one has to be careful
    • Needs to be very well organized and not be distracted easily

Might I also add that a true home based business is just that, a business. it is NOT a scheme or something that you do not have to work continually to build. Providing stellar information to build your credibility is critical. There are many ways to do this, article writing, ebooks, reports, teleseries and social media just to name a few.
